In losing it all, it is then that we win
Though it doesn’t seem right that way,
But hope arises from the ashes of dawn
Through the Lord…He brings justice our way.
We fret and we wonder, ” How will we go on?”
Then in silence we hear Him say,
“Fear not, little flock, I’m Your Father, I’m here,
I’m with you and I’ve heard you pray.” (Luke12:32)
Old things may be gone, but new things will come,
Can we let go of things from the past?
In leaving behind, we look to His new
To be better than what we’d amassed.
Look around, He has always provided
We question, “Why allow this path?”
But God knows more; His ways are higher
It’s His Grace and Mercy…no wrath.
The enemy plans for our demise, he tries to destroy and burn
All of our dreams and future plans, but God knows that we know and will learn
That He’s never left nor forsaken us, He sent angels along our way.
We gave them thanks, but it’s really His love that breaks us into new days.
So different than we might plan or choose, but the Lord makes it all good…
What the enemy used to try to destroy, God shows in His love through the brotherhood.
The best of mankind steps up and lends help
The seeds we’ve sown… coming up strong.
Through the rubble of ancient destructive deeds
Arises the hope for the days where we’ve longed
For love to permeate all the spaces
Between us, our family, our friends.
It’s Jesus’ plan to use them and then
Develop His testimony for us from within.
The trial may be difficult — why must it be?
Is there not an easier trail
To follow the Master of the Universe?
No, we must become utterly frail.
